My name is Heather LaClair and I have owned Howl-A-Day Pet Resort since July of 2003. I have worked in the kennel business and as a veterinary assistant since 1995. I was previously co-owner and manager of an 86 run lower Michigan facility. In 2001, I completed the Certified Kennel Operator educational program through the American Boarding Kennel Association, a three step program which tested me on the proper care of dogs and cats, management of a kennel facility, and prevention of illness. After spending five years building the business and working long hours away from my family I decided I would like to get into a smaller, more family-friendly setting, so I sold my shares to my former partner and moved here, where I put all my effort into building Howl-A-Day into a great place for pets. I am married and have two wonderful daughters.
I'm Beth Stigleman, and my kennel experience began in Cincinnati, Ohio. After many years of providing great customer service to people, I discovered my real career providing the same for pets and their parents. On a mission to find the perfect boarding kennel to purchase in 2006, I found Heather and Howl-A-Day, and moved to Midland with my husband Marty to join the company in 2007. Our business partnership and friendship has been a dream come true, and we love having the chance to know every single pet; to us they are each unique, just like our many furry children at home.
